Behind the Scenes: Planet Robolien

We drew our designs on scrap paper first.  Then we drew our buildings on cardboard.  Some were painted and for some we used water coloured pencils.                                                                                                              

We glued on corrugated cardboard on buildings...

We painted it white then a colour...

We glued on sticks and strips of foam to create different textures...

Behind the Scenes: Robolien Backdrops

These are the backrops for the alien robot planet called Robolien (Holly thought of this name).  

We used socks to measure how tall or small the building should be.

Behind the Scenes: Ball Backdrops

We had to glue doleys onto the background and we used lace.  Then we painted it and dry brushed it with silver paint and gold paint.

We wanted to use the fabric because it looked more like a ball, so we used blue material.  We got the idea form the ball scenes we pinned on Pinterest.

Behind the Scenes: Starry Backrops

First we did a plan on paper.  Then we got cardboard and we got black paint to do the background, a fine brush for the dots and silver paint.  We got the brash's and did little dots. 

We had to fix up the big blobs of paint with black paint.  Then we did more dots.  We did different sized dots.
