Behind the Scenes: Filming

We practised puppeteering with our hands.   We got into groups and practised and one person went and listened to the music and practised moving heir hand.  We had to move the puppet's mouth to the song.
First you say 'rolling to record,' then you press the record button and say 'action.'  We had to turn our heads to the side and our arms had to be up for the movie.

We looked at the storyboard to fix up some mistakes before filming.  During filming we still changed things around.

The hardest was the puppeteering because your arms get tired and you can't see what your puppet is doing.

On the whiteboard we were writing what we were going to film from the storyboard.

We had a storyboard and we had people telling us what to do.  The Directors had to tell us what to do, tell us how high or low our puppet was.  The puppet had to be looking at the camera.

We had to help set up the props and backdrops to help set up ready for filming.

Making our Artworks for Matariki....

We read a story called Celebrating Matariki.  Tania then told us we had to do a draft picture about Matariki.  Then we used black creative paint to go around the pencil marks.  We had to let it dry.

The next day we dyed inside the creative paint.  My picture is about the person trying to get the fish out of the sea and then they turn into the seven bright stars.
